How do some of you like to work as a Lead...Frontcourt, when you have flexed over to the strong side, or on Trail's side, and suddenly a basket is made?
Do you wait untill the ball is thrown in before you move to your proper position? Do you move quickly over to "your side" as the players are getting the ball and preparing for a throw-in? The later seems un-natural and could possibly get an official in a situation where they are getting in the way... although I have seen this done numerous times as of late. In the former, it also looks kinda bad when an official is moving over to his/her side when the ball is being moved up the court...at some point you will be behind the play more than one might like. I just wait until the time is right. If its a quick two after I've gone strong side, I just move back to "cadillac" as the ball is moving down the court the other way.
If the team backs off and sets up an offensive play. I let the play move me back to the other side. It doesn't matter where you are, you still have your primary. Your partner has theirs.

The basket is scored, stay there until the throw in is made, after the ball starts moving up court-- Go figure position is Trail--- you trail them and switch sides...
Too easy... If there is pressure you stay with them no big deal... |
