Lagal Uniform

Is this color combination legal in NFHS (does the royal blue number contrast with the black uniform body)? If it's legal, how "dark" does the number have to be to be illegal? If it's illegal, how "light / bright" does the number have to be to be legal?

If I were to have a coach ask about these before ordering I would tell them no to be on the safe side. My reading of the rules is that both the number and the trim must separately be contrasting colors and the blue would almost have to be a very pale, almost white shade to contrast. Or go a much lighter shade of black keeping the original blue or darkening it.

Would be interesting to know how our color blind officials see that.

I'm a color blind official. I can see the contrast between the numbers and the jersey. Now if the numbers were red, then it might start being a problem... Think Houston Texans ugly mono uniforms.

Black And Blue Fashionista ...

Seems legal to me.

But it's fun to nitpick, nice question.

No more guessing.

I can actually see the numbers, and the boundaries, and the basketball this year.

Amazing.
