I can't fathom how that is overly complicated.
That's good for your little corner. My widespread experience is officials not knowing the exact spot their partners would be administering from. Now it is really, really simple...and communicated immediately.

If officials focus on what we're doing NOW instead of who is on their lawn, it shouldn't be a struggle.

AGAIN, this rule originated from COACHES.
