Ncaa-w

NFHS has adopted new mechanics of 4 designated throw-in locations when there is a stoppage in play that occurs on the court. And it is a front court throw-in.
Does NCAA-W use the 4 designated Front Court Throw-in spots?

Yes -- but it's not quite as simple as "four spots whenever there's a stoppage of play."

The four spots are used whenever there's a single personal foul. or the defense violates the "kick, fist, through the basket from below" rule.

Otherwise, it's the spot closest to the violation / ball.

So, if it is Held Ball or the team call Time Out, then it goes to closest spot. Not 1 of 4 location.

Correct. It's not the HS rule.

The NF adopted the NCAA Men's rule almost in total. So Men's was doing this for years and everything for the most part goes to the 4 spots but a division line backcourt violations. But that last thing has implications for the shot clock, so that is why there is a difference.

Peace
