A question for the esteemed forum. Are these legal plays?
a) Player A1 legally throws the ball in at the division line after the half. He then proceeds to run, out of bounds, almost to the baseline before coming in bounds to escape notice.
b) Player A1, without the ball, approaches B2 who has established legal guarding position along the baseline. A1 runs out of bounds to avoid the pick, reestablishes legal in-bound position, and receives a pass.
So I guess what I'm asking in both cases, is can a player run out of bounds intentionally to gain an advantage? What do I got?
