Speaking Of The Socratic Method ...

A1 is dribbling tableside near the division line. Lead official charges B5 with a common foul (before the bonus) under the basket. Where do you put the ball back in play?

Two shots and the ball at the division line. Because just before the foul the trail misses an obvious travel and the Coach goes crazy.

This case is different, as we don't have a double foul. We penalize the single foul as required by the rules with a throw-in. For a double foul, we return to the status quo before the foul, place the ball where it previously was. In shot clock games, the shot clock would not reset.

In this situation, the ball will be put back in play on the endline, out of bounds at the spot nearest where the foul occurred. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
