Duke vs Georgetown

There is 9:32 remaining in 2nd half. Throw-in foul. I believe Duke was throwing in the ball and Georgetown is called for foul. Patrick is issued a Technical Foul. my question is the free throws. How many for Coach T?
8:44 elbow to head changed to cylinder foul. Good call?

2:42 left — OOB save turns out to be laughable.

Out of bounds plays are often some of the toughest to call. It was not an easy call in real time where he was located. I know you are not perfect and neither am I. Let us be reasonable.

Peace

It was a Class A Technical given to Ewing. You get 2 shots for those types of Ts. That is for unsporting, not matter who gets them (Coach, player, bench personnel).

Peace

Disagree. Duke Blue #41, trying to make the "save", threw it out of bounds off his own foot.

Ball never touches Georgetown Gray #11.

Bad call on the hold — not enough there. Good T, Ewing needs to control himself with so much time left in the game.
You sure you do not have that flipped around?

Not enough the hold? He is playing with one arm as the GT player grabs his arm twice to try to keep him from getting to the ball.

Peace

It appears that the save attempt hit the Duke players foot - the official looks to be slightly straight lined by the Duke player and may not have had the best look at it.

The holding call is a play we see numerous times a game and usually let go because there is no advantage/disadvantage gained during the normal flow of a game. However, in the video the defense gains a clear advantage from the hold and must be penalized - great call!

"Hello Jenny. Get me Sheriff Billings."

Pat on the back to any old timer who can identify the television show associated with the quote above.

Hint. Same television show. "Hello Jenny. Get me Doc Weaver."

2 free throws, because Patrick Ewing gets assessed a Class A technical foul, and then the bonus free throws for the holding foul by Grey 2.
