I get the garters that clamp to the shirt and socks. I don't like any foreign object in my shoe bothering my feet.

There is a Neat Tucks version with an elastic band that wraps around the thigh and attaches to the shirt tail with an "alligator" (i.e., suspender) clasp. Works for me.

My scrimmages (DC and MD) normally start in mid-November, with regular season games either the last week of November or 1st week of December.

It wasn't clear, but from what I could tell, it seems the difference is the type of clamping mechanism, not where they attach.

I've seen some of that are like stirrups that go into the shoe and around the bottom of the foot.

There are stirrups that go under your foot and there are sock/clip-ons.

There are two versions of Neat Tucks, both of which have elastic bands that fit around your thigh and bands that attach to your shirt. Camron, you are correct: the difference is in the clamping mechanism. One style has a garter button-style clasp, and the other an alligator-type clasp. I have both, but prefer the latter.

I just wanted to show what they look like. They are great because they do not go on your feet, which I also do not like or hooked to your socks. Great product and I think they make your shirt look great and your pants are not bunching up to keep your shirt tucked in. I can wear my shirt flat on my body and the shirt never moves around. Looks very professional.

Peace

The Neat Tucks are worth every penny and work really well. Get the good ones that Ump Attire sells and not the cheap kind from Amazon. They have rubber grip things that hold your shirt well.

With that said, I am OCD about keeping my shirt tucked in and making it look sharp, so I have had my shirts taken in on the sides the last couple of years. If you're built like a "V", it makes it look really good. I cannot stand extra shirt material falling out of my waistband. Just my two cents.

In MA, I'm pretty sure that they can't practice until after Thanksgiving. So games don't start until the 1st or 2nd week of December, depending on how late Thanksgiving is.

Girls Varsity regular season starts 11/18

Boys Varsity regular season starts 11/25

Florida does EVERYTHING early because our school year usually ends by May 15...thus all sports championships have to conclude by then (baseball and softball). So they take the last days of school and work the sports seasons backwards to determine start dates. And the sports DO overlap...so basketball teams will often start the season while football players are finishing up post-season play. Makes it pretty tough on smaller schools that have their best athletes playing multiple sports. No real break for the players between sport seasons either.

Are you working the WCAC? My protégée will be working that league this year for his HS ball.

Not yet. Board 12 doesn't have me ranked high enough for that yet. Will still continue working varsity charter school basketball.
