As Trail was hitting the whistle to call a foul he realized Slot was signaling a tip. Surprised him so he didn’t post. Realized he couldn’t take back the whistle and go inadvertent so he basically met Slot and said he messed up and said they had to go with it. Then dealt with it. Not sure he went over to Rick Barnes but I’m sure TO knew he fu˘ked up right away.

Last game I worked this season I blew my whistle to call a rebounding foul. The ball had bounced high off the rim and I thought it was going to miss, but it went in. I immediately said inadvertent whistle and got the game moving. My supervisor loved to call

I think he thought he saw something. I think he was confused by what he saw his partner did and went with why he blew his whistle. Now after the game, he probably had a different opinion about the call. But during I think he at the time clearly saw something. I think we all are saying this after the fact with replays and debate over the issue. Sometimes you do not know you got the play wrong until after the game.

Peace

I had a game a few years ago, made a call I thought I nailed, saw the play develop and finish from a different angle on film...I thought wrong.

That happens more to me than knowing immediately. At least when I actually blow my whistle. There are times when I might not call something because I would be guessing and did not do anything or call anything. Those I know a little better that something was missed.

Peace
