Play 1: Block, falling before contact, trips opponent. CC.

Play 2: Missed first defensive foul, INC.

Play 3: Blocked shot, IC.

Play 4: Blocked shot. Doesn't matter if defender brings his arms down if he blocks the shot. CC.

What upset the Tennessee fans was that, in my opinion, after they returned to the floor the defender clearly ripped the ball away from the Iowa player, so they only saw what looked like a strip, not what actually caused the end of the playing action which was the Iowa player still in possession return to the floor after being prevented from releasing the ball.

I agree on all of those. The worst one of those to me was the double foul, which clearly missed two potential fouls on Iowa before the double foul was called.

I have illegal contact by the defender at the FT line prior to any shot attempt.

For the record, I believe he was given 2 shots and they were not in the "double bonus."

Peace

As Trail was hitting the whistle to call a foul he realized Slot was signaling a tip. Surprised him so he didn’t post. Realized he couldn’t take back the whistle and go inadvertent so he basically met Slot and said he messed up and said they had to go with it. Then dealt with it. Not sure he went over to Rick Barnes but I’m sure TO knew he fu˘ked up right away.

Last game I worked this season I blew my whistle to call a rebounding foul. The ball had bounced high off the rim and I thought it was going to miss, but it went in. I immediately said inadvertent whistle and got the game moving. My supervisor loved to call

I think he thought he saw something. I think he was confused by what he saw his partner did and went with why he blew his whistle. Now after the game, he probably had a different opinion about the call. But during I think he at the time clearly saw something. I think we all are saying this after the fact with replays and debate over the issue. Sometimes you do not know you got the play wrong until after the game.

I had a game a few years ago, made a call I thought I nailed, saw the play develop and finish from a different angle on film...I thought wrong.

That happens more to me than knowing immediately. At least when I actually blow my whistle. There are times when I might not call something because I would be guessing and did not do anything or call anything. Those I know a little better that something was missed.

Peace
