The mark on the endline is pointless. Most coaches understand that they aren't supposed to go beyond that boundary, nor do they have any reason to.
Most of our schools only have the 28-foot line marked. I guess I could make an issue and ask them to put tape down on the endline, but I don't, and clearly other officials don't, either.
