After reading some of his comments, I suspect he might not have all the support from coaches and others as he states. In my 30 plus years as a official, I see a guy that likes and wants to be noticed both on and off the field. Called with guys like this on Friday nights, their the kind that will get a crew in trouble.

I have read his blog and his twitter posts, while Pat Houseworth and I are on the opposite ends of the political spectrum, and in fact, he comes off as a very very bigoted person, if there had been problems with his political views affecting his officiating/umpiring it would have surfaced long before this.

I do not know Pat; he lives right on the border of the OhioHSAA's Northwest District and Southwest District and I cannot tell you exactly in which district he resides because the OhioHSAA removed his contact information from its Officials Directory. That is all that I know about him.
