Nova vs. OU BI

2nd Half, 14:12. Tom Eades called BI from slot on OU. Defender was reaching through the basket (and touching the net…and he slightly vibrated the rim). But he never touched the ball. Ball was in the cylinder part of the time but not on or within the basket when the rim/net were touched.

Would like to see the video (note a minute or two later TBS had a good slow-mo close-up) and discuss/critique. Thanks.

Not BI, based on the replay. It does get to the question of do you call only what you are sure of, or is this an example of where the player was doing something tending towards "what he shouldn't have" so no w the benefit of the doubt goes to "only pass if you are sure he didn't commit a violation?"
