I had the same thing happen last year and attempted super glue. It worked for a week, but came apart again.

Then I took them to the local cobbler who re-stitched them in 10 minutes and inspected the other shoes for same problem. He charged me $5 cash.

Just took same pair back to him for another blowout on the other shoe and he repaired that and reinforced stitching on both shoes for $10.

Haven't had any problems with his work, just wear and tear from the original thread from Reebok.

$15 vs. $80-90 for a new pair well worth it.
