Zigs Patent Leather Maintenance

Discovered a small section of the seam on one of my shoes came undone last night. Would a little bit of super glue work on patent leather or should I take them to a shoe repair shop?

I had the same thing happen last year and attempted super glue. It worked for a week, but came apart again.

Then I took them to the local cobbler who re-stitched them in 10 minutes and inspected the other shoes for same problem. He charged me $5 cash.

Just took same pair back to him for another blowout on the other shoe and he repaired that and reinforced stitching on both shoes for $10.

Haven't had any problems with his work, just wear and tear from the original thread from Reebok.

$15 vs. $80-90 for a new pair well worth it.

Since you paid him cash, do you think he reported that income on his taxes? :D

:)
Don't know what he did, but I tracked the mileage I drove to get to him.

That's exactly what I hoped to hear!! I'll be taking my shoes in tomorrow.
