You might try finding someone to re-do the hem of your current pants so that they'll fit the newly-skinny you.
Dry-cleaning places will often have someone who can do alterations, and the cost is usually pretty negligible. That's what I did a couple of years ago after I lost about 40 lbs, and I managed to get 4 pairs of pants altered for less than the cost of one new pair. |

Mens store might have someone who can do it too.

I like a little flex in the waist..
Personal preference for sure, but my last 2 pair have been the M8990 Cliff Keen Pant
M8990 - Cliff Keen Pant - Cliff Keen Athletic wide waist band with some flex for the comfort.

What don't you like about the Smittys? I was thinking about getting a pair for next season, but....

I prefer the heavier fabric of my Sansabelt's, they do not seem to wrinkle as easily, look less shiny, and I just prefer them based on feel. Can't explain more than that.

Tailors can typically take in a pant no more than four inches, since at that point the side seams are at the back of the pant and the back pockets are next to eachother.
65 pounds is pretty substantial, so don't count on your pants simply being altered. Give it a shot, but I just wanted to give you a head's up. |
