Balk?

Saw this play while browsing the internet. Not sure it's a high school game or not, or whether that matters for the balk rule.

Baseball is a game of inches, and hidden balls : theCHIVE

I forget...is this a balk?

Why would it be a balk?

That isn't the "hidden ball trick" (I realize you didn't say that), and it's not a balk at any level. It's (a version of) the "Miami play." FED has a case play on it, I think.

Like just about everything these days... horrible title for the video.

Not hidden ball... not a balk. Simply a fake throw and great (legal) deception by everyone.

Looks like the definition of the "Miami play".
