Obstruction call reversed (SD@ARI)

I was at this game, so I didn't have the "benefit" of announcers or replay. Myers called back to second | MLB.com

I thought the original call was a good one. I saw the OBS, award the runner 3B. Is there some additional criteria in OBR that this play did not meet?

The award isn't automatic in OBR on "type B" OBS.

Myers was going to be out by a mile at third, so they put him where he likely would have been without the OBS - second base.

PS: The "common-taters" don't know what they're yapping about.

Got it. I'm a softball guy, so I always forget about A/B obstruction. I'll have to look up the differences. I wonder why it took Jim & crew so long to come to that conclusion.

I also was sure Bud Black was going to get dumped when he was waving his arms around and Joyce puffed up his chest in response.

I would have taken the common taters over the bigmouth guy two rows up, any day. My TV has a mute button; this guy did not.
