season begins slow...

This week is the first week of play here in NC. Today is the 3rd cancellation for the week. I doubt there have been any games played across the state.

I give my game tomorrow afternoon as a 5% chance of being played given the rain falling now.

So much for the start of the season... Come on spring get here...

wow.. last year and 3 years ago, from my state, it was rained out 3 consecutive weeks from the start of the season. It did not start until April due to high amounts of rain we are having at the time. Now, if there are turf fields, those are playable, even if it raining "cats and dogs." (except if there is a thunder/lightning nearby).

Good luck. I'm still a long ways away from my first game.

Still 3 feet of snow on the ground here and first games are scheduled for 3/20/15. Unless we snowblow the fields and play on frozen turf its going to be a VERY slow start to the season in NW PA.

We have games slated to start mid next week in the southern coalfields of WV - not likely to get any of them in. No snow on the ground now, but lots of standing water and much more rain on the way. It will likely be nearing April 1 for me.

First district game tomorrow night. Was supposed to be tonight but we have had about 3" of rain on Sunday and Monday. Trying to let the fields dry out a little.
