Is the 9+ DH for high school the same, similar, or completely different tothe college DH rule?

Thanks

Completely different.

For starters:
1) In NCAA, the DH is only for F1; in FED, it's for anyone
2) In NCAA, F1 can also be the DH; in FED, the DH needs to be a separate person / player
3) In NCAA, it's allowable to make changes such that the starting F1 and starting DH are both in the lineup at the same time; in FED, it's not allowed.

A lot simpler and different than NCAA. DH rule in NFHS is at least one paragraph, in NCAA it is 2-1/2 pages.

The NCAA DH rule is probably the most complicated rule I have ever read.

OK. So if I have 9 + DH, I still bat 9; and 1 doesnt bat (who is being DH for); and I will have 1 how doesn't play field (the DH).

The 9 on the field can essentially interchange positions including pitching.

1. Adam 4
2. Baker 7
3. Charlie 8
4. Devin 3
5. Evan 9
6. Frank 5
7. George 2
8. Hank 6
9. Ivan DH

James P

So, if Ivan is put into field to play LF for baker, does that mean James now bats in the 2 hole, and no DH rest of the game?

Same line up, but in 2nd inning, Devin is moved to pitcher. Does Ivan then have to go 1b or if I sub Troy for 1b, he would then hit for Ivan, James is out and troy now hits in the 9 hole -- no DH?

Sorry, just want to make sure I understand this rule.

1) Can't do it in FED. Ivan and James are both locked into the 9th spot -- they both can't be on offense or on defense at the same time. If Ivan goes into left, then James must leave the game.

2) treat it as two subs. (a) Devin now pitches, James now plays first, Ivan still DH for James. (b) Troy enters for James, Ivan now DH for Troy.
