The run is counted. Do you have rule books ? if not you should invest in some. There is no such continuation rule.

If you don't liike an organizations rules don't join it. It's not a difficult concept. Deriding it as you avoid it isn't very adult of you.

It has been my observation that leagues play what is predominant in the area, they don't select an organization based on the rules or the organization. Little League is not predominant in my area, Babe Ruth is, so leagues play Babe Ruth, or come tournament time there is no one to play close by.
