I am proud to say I don't do Little League, however, I can appreciate people like Rich.
From what I've seen Rich has demonstrated that not only was the umpire wrong, the decision as to what to do now belongs to the board. If they deem it proper to resume play, they will, of course expect that to happen in accordance with the rules. e.g. nine players per side. What you seem to be saying is that you believe that since the umpire said "forfeit", you don't have to follow the rules. Sorry. His mistake does not exempt you from the rules. If on the other hand you are saying you don't approve of the LL rules, then maybe you should find a league with rules closer to your liking. That's what I did.

I am trying to understand the rules. May you should refrain from respoding from my threads Rich. I appreciate your input. I do however, don't appreciate you telling get a grip.
Maybe I should have got to the point should, so I didn't have to offend your lack of patience. The opposing coach obviously new that he could only field 9 players at the start of the game. He obviously knew that he would only be able to finish with eight at the end, because he and his son had to leave before the time limit. I told the opposing coach, and the ump let's finish now. I will even give you one of mine. We have had ten schedule changes due to rain.If you know that you will be short why not inform the other team or the opposing coach. |

You have gone on-and-on-and-on-and-on about how it doesn't seem right.
Perhaps you see a "win" turning into a potential loss and are grasping at straws. Wishing for a rule doesn't make it so. Reality is at hand - grab it.
