McCarver Strikes Again.
I think it was in the same Berkman at bat with a 2-1 count and the pitch came in for a called strike 2. F2 dropped the pitch and McCarver said that the pitch can't be called a strike because F2 dropped the pitch,

I always ask them how a D3K could happen then if the batter doesn't swing. That usually (not always) shuts them up.

Didn't he actually say something like, "If the catcher drops that pitch (a borderline outside pitch), the umpire usually won't call it a strike"? |

So...... McCarver was right for a change, umpires usually don't call borderline pitches strikes that a catcher boxes. What is wrong with that statement?
