Dang, I was away for 12 days for some major medical stuff and eteamz is stagnant, McGriffs is dead(again) and after a little search, walla, new action. Must say my new thankful I did not die attitude is going to work well with the rules!
Now to my obsevation of MLB umpiring while laid up in hospital. Sunday the 27th?, I think. Dropped third strike, curveball trapped in the dirt. PU comes up with a sleek and simple safe signal, then moves to watch lane violation. PBUC has been teaching this to the minor leaguers, but I was really surprised to see it so soon at MLB level. I don't remember who was playing, or who PU was, but the mechanic did not seem too "overkillish" as was mentioned before on McGriffs a while back. Anybody else notice this of late?? ...chris |

Garth, only 1 state prison? We got 2, 30 miles south of me. They are those "level 5" ones, ya know, inmate brawls weekly, one has been in lockdown for over a year now. I must say, correction officers make good umps, we got 3 of em working FED ball.
"walla"? That's half of a small town in Washington, home to the state prison,a variety of sweet onions, a Green Giant cannery and the acme vacuum cleaner company.[/B][/QUOTE] |
