FED Rules

I had one a few years ago...Bottom of the 7th, home team down by 1 run, bases loaded 1 out.

The ball looped in the air behind first base near the grass. The big First baseman fell down going for it and it bounced right in front of the grass about 5 feet fair.

I was the PU, I raised both hands over my head and said FOUL BALL. I already knew what I had done before BALL got out of my mouth. The 3rd base coach(HC) was heard to say rather loudly WHAT???

I walked down and said: Coach, I yelled foul. I screwed up. The rule is that I cannot fix it once I yell foul. He said: "Don't do that again!" and turned around.

The guy got a double on the next pitch.

Joe
