New George Will Article

Here's a neat article by George Will that provides a brief review of a new book on umpiring "As They See 'Em: A Fan's Travels in the Land of Umpires" by Bruce Weber. I thought it was pretty interesting and wanted to share.

Has anyone read the book yet? It seems interesting, but I don't know if I want to use my $25 gift certificate on it.

I'm about 1/2 way through it. It's an interesting read, but nothing (other than te specific individuals involved) that I didn't already know.

And that means that many of us could learn a great deal from the book!

I just ordered it tonight. I also picked up The Best Seat In Baseball, but You Have to Stand to spend enough for free shipping.

I got the quiz on the back cover right.
