Wilson mask pad question

Are the pads they use on the titanium and the chrome moliben masks available separately? I know they sell the wrap around leather pads everywhere, but the ones from the titanium look different. Anyone know?

The ones sold on the Titanium are the 2-tone (tan inside, black outside) wrap-arounds.

I replaced the 2-tones on mine with all black (just a personal preference), plus the fact that the 2-tone ones that I got were poorly made (they were sewn off-center, and therefore were higher on one side of my face than the other).

Are you referring to how the pads on the Titanium mask appear more "rounded" than Wilson's traditional wrap around pads?

No big deal now anyway. I sold my All Star HSM and I'm going to the Wilson titanium.

I acquired two sets of back-up pads from other members who switched them out. I couldn't find them elsewhere at any price. They're the best pads I've ever worn. I asked Hock to sell me his, but he wouldn't sell them. Now I know why.

Why would you need 2 sets?
How often do you change your pads?
Is this related to the "2 shoes, 2 {clickers}, 2 caps, 2 cups" in your diamond bag?

No, no.

I just love the pads and as I change them every other year or so, I want to make sure I can get the same pads.

Good question. Yes, they are different. They wrap around still, but they're not as substantial as the ones on the Dyna-Lite mask. Some would say "they're not as bulky".

That particular padding is not sold separately from Wilson... at least not this year... next year - perhaps.
