Thanks Brian
How in the %^%$*%&^**(& do you blow a call that badly at home plate?
OY VEY! The video up on MLB.com does not show a good angle but the Orioles TV broadcast showed it after the commercial...Polanco was so safe...UGH. Joe in Missouri PS Yes, I am a Tigers fan, but Jim Palmer said he was safe by a mile, also. |

Yes, and Cousins kept me up late for the All-Star game when he blew the call at the plate in the 11th.
Umpires miss calls all the time. Like in game 163 last year, Padres-Rockies game where Matt Holliday still hasn't touched home plate. As Kurtis Blow wanted you to know, these are the breaks.

Look at the last angle again. It is possible that the O's catcher had the plate completely blocked, so Polanco never touched it.
