Do people like bobbyanaduck always have to put these kind of pictures on the site when another poster finds out what crew is working a special event.

If that is all you can come up for a response, then please do not respond at all, as it is getting old.

Other people might think that constantly posting when a crew is working a special event...or is going on vacation....is getting old also.

Who gets to determine who is right?

The only people that can come up with an edict of not posting or responding about anything is the mods, John.

John, from your past posts we know you are one of the largest sniffers on these pages.

Seems like fair play to me.

I doubt MLB umpires visit this forum and even if they did they don't actually know the people behind the usernames, so there is definately no jock sniffing going on. He just listed the All Star umpiring crew.

Apparently the American-English definition of "jock sniffing" is different from the Canadian-English definition.

It is (imo) jock sniffing, but it's allowed on the forum.

They're allowed to sniff, and we're allowed to call it sniffing. Isn't it nice when we all get along.

Not really. I know Brian Runge personally. I have worked many of his HS and Palomino League games. I have umpired several games with him, and he knows me on a first-name basis. His father, Paul Runge, has evaluated my plate work favorably and knows me by name as well. Paul's father, Ed was also a former member of our association, as was Brian. The Runges live in El Cajon, which is my home town too. So it's quite natural for me to refer to Brian Runge in a familiar manner. I don't feel that sticking up for a former colleague qualifies as downright jock sniffing. But, have it your way. You usually do.

SDS, being "town-mates" with the Runges, what's your own personal take on Brian's actions at Shea this past week?

There's a three page thread on it. Go read it.

I have never known Brian to act this way, but it has been many years since we worked together, and umpires often get a swelled head when the make the majors. I have seen much worse behavior. It was just a friggin' bump. I've seen managers bump umpires much harder, and been bumped worse than that myself. It still doesn't change the fact that Beltran and Manuel are a couple of a-holes. Brian's bump was out of line, but those two idiots should have both been run before any bumping ever took place.
