Interesting Display...

I thought you guys might like hearing about the display a manager put on for us today.

I was working in B with R1. Left handed F1 made a great move and picked off R1 taking too big of a lead. He was dead to rights, but his coach must have been watching another game or something. He comes out and adamantly proclaims that his runner got his hand back on the bag under the tag. I explained that I saw it differently and that his runner was tagged out by a decent margin.

The coach now decides he's going to show us all how his runner got back to the bag under the tag. So, he simulates a lead off and dives back to first making one Hell of a spectacle out of himself by executing a pool party belly flop in front of the bag. He then proceeds to repeatedly pound the bag with the palm of his hand while kicking his feet and screaming at me.

I just threw him the hook and started back to A position all the while trying to contain the laughter that was bubbling up inside me. He got up and left without a fuss after getting dumped, which kind of surprised me. I'm not sure if he wanted to get tossed to prove a point, or if he'd simply forgotten to take his meds today. Either way, it was funny as all get out.

Tim.

sometimes ya gotta laugh at the easy ones....he probably won a bet saying he would get thrown out today...it is a good story though as I did laugh out loud to myself....at least you didn't have to give it much thought when you dumped him
