Bob,
Are you saying that if the accidental appeal is part of continuing action on the original play to recognize it, and if the accidental appeal is on a subsequent play, to require that it be unmistakable?

Interesting concept. And it would solve some (but not all) of the problems with the accidental appeal.

Do we have any supporting rulings?
