NFHS Test

I read quite often on this board questions about the NFHS test. I live in California and I can not find any information about a test in my state. Is it possible that they do not require testing here?

Perhaps I should re-phrase the question.

Do you have to take the NFHS test for your state to call HS ball?

I ask because I did three varsity HS games last year and I have two scheduled for next week. I have never heard of a requirement to take the test.

Edited with: Just to clarify, the varsity games were smaller private schools. That may pay into this.

Yes. If you lived in Washington you would not be working varsity games without passing the FED test.

I am amazed that California has no method to verify its umpires have even a passing acquaintance with the rules.

Here's a link to a list of associations, ask them.

You have to take the test here to call HS games. I'm not sure you have to pass the test, but you have to take it. Post season assignments are based on a point system, one of which includes higher points for higher scores and a minimum score to even be considered. I'm not sure exactly, but I think 80 is the minimum score to work varsity games, and 90 for postseason games.
