Wood Bat Baseball
After watching this season of HS wood bat fall ball, I'd like to see HS ball go to wood bats all the time. The focus of the game is on fundamentals, pitchers go after hitters and all the games I've done have been close.

Brett Brothers Bat Company supplies local teams with wood bats for about $30 a pop. Elite team coaches tell me that on average each kid will go through three to four wood bats a season and that they buy a new metal bat each year. Expense doesn't seem an issue.

Two school district associations have returned to the wood (Msr. Martin and Buffalo City schools) whereas ECIC, which represents the suburbs, still uses the pipes.
BTW, isn't the NCAA due to return to the wood as well? |
