10 run rule

Does anyone know of a rule in a division that plays only 6 innings that the 10 run mercy rule applies after 4 innings instead of 5 innings ? Had a ruling recently in a 6 run division that uses modified OBR rules (Canadian Mosquito Division).

PONY Baseball - Pinto, Mustang and Bronco divisions.

Pretty much any league with a 10-run rule and 6-inning games use the same rules. Game over after 4 innings if visiting team is ahead, after 3-1/2 if home team is ahead.

A 3 1/2 inning run rule game is a nice days work, IMHO.

It all depends on the what the Canadian Mosquito Division's rules state. It could very well be five, since it isn't covered in OBR.

After 5 in a 7 inning game, or after 4 in a 6 inning game is common as dirt around these parts under all rules being played.

USSSA (not sure it's their rule, but it's used at the park) -

6 inning game - 15 after 3, 8 after 4
7 inning game - 15/3, 12/4, 8/5

Close...just leave Bronco out.

PONY Baseball - Shetland, Pinto, and Mustang play 6 innings. Four inning, 10 run rule applies. Bronco, Pony, Colt, and Palimino play seven. Five inning, 10 run rule applies.

Good catch. Brain fart. Didn't count Shetland as it is umpired by coaches out here. I would never umpire a Shetland game. Gotta draw the line somewhere!

In Baseball Quebec the mercy rule comes into effect once the game is official. So for this division it would be possible once 3 1/2 or 4 innings are played in a 6 inning game.
