Brent Fussbudget--slightly off topic

I got a kick out of Musberger in the LLWS Final. As a 3-2 pitch comes in and is balled by PU, BM immediately says, " Now it's 2-2 on the batter. Oops now he's going to first." Or something like that.

A few years back, I happened to be at a HS basketball game and sitting very close to Mr. M. Right at the end of the first half, ref called a common foul, and the clock operator couldn't hit the "stop" button on time, so the buzzer sounded (it was a split-second sitch).

The ref came over to the table to ascertain that fouled team wasn't in the bonus--then trotted to the locker room.

BM turned to me, incredulous, "WHAT WAS THAT!!!" he intoned.

I simply said, "It's a common foul, no shots awarded, so that's the half."

"A common foul?" he asks. I pateintly tell him it's a foul on a player not in the act of shooting.

How much does this guy get paid a year?

I kinda got a kick out of Mushburger, when in the heat of a college football game, he refered to Boston College's QB as " Doug Fruity".

I think he's even worse when he does golf. It's as if he's never actually played the sport. I hate watching ABC-televised golf events for this reason, because they always trot out Brent as the front man.
