I didn't want to talk about it there, but he's kind of an old stubborn fella, and he loudly expressed his dislike for the call. Jim just curious, you know how coaches bait umpires. Was this a situation where the coach of the team whom the call went against asked the UIC "Hey would did you think of that call"? and the UIC procedded to talk about you to the coach? Pete Booth

Of course, the coach of the team that the call went against was my UIC's assistant coach on his amateur team, and his F3 for his Over-40's team. They are very close. Actually, the coach didn't have as much a problem with my call as his players did. He likes me. The players on the team are made up of mostly RI high school coaches. My HS post-season may be in jeopardy...LOL. [Edited by Jim Porter on Jan 11th, 2002 at 02:02 PM]
