Leg Guards and Plate Shoes

I am going to start doing youth league games with the hope to one day go to the majors. I know I have a long way to go and a lot to learn along the way. I have been looking at equipiment and was wondering what are the best places to buy leg guards. I am 6'7'' and wear a size 16-17 any suggestions on where I can buy some plate shoes? Thanks a bunch!!

For the leg guards, I recommend the brand I use: Douglas. They come in four different lengths, 20" being the largest (knee to instep) available. I would imagine this size being ideal for your height.

I'm having trouble finding a size 16 plate shoe for you. I wear 14s and they are hard enough to get. 15 is the biggest I've seen advertised so far. Try this link and contact the company and see if they can custom make you a pair:
