That Sporting News edition was nice because it had a stapled binding and was not very thick, very easy to carry around when you need some light reading. The 2007 Triumph book seems to be easier to read than the previous editions but I still prefer the SN edition. You might be able to get the 2006 Sporting News from Amazon.

Triumph books in Chicago is now the official publisher of them. Contact them, or PM me for the info. Sarah in their sales dept. is the one who got me the books I needed for our umpires.

The jury's still out as to whether or not I like the new formatting, however. I'm trying to get used to it. So far, it's thumbs down.

Just the format. TSN's edition was a bit thinner, for one thing, because they formatted it differently. Plus, why are so many sections of the book shaded? It used to be that that meant it was a rule change or something, but that's not the case here. I'm still trying to find out why many sentences/paragraphs are shaded (highlighted in gray). Not that that makes much of a difference, though, I guess.

The shaded areas are the ARs and CMTs.

My copy of the 2007 MLB version does not contain the words Triumph Publishing or Triumph Books anywhere. It simply says "published by MLB."

If it's the one with Konerko on the cover, it's Triumph Books. They're the ones who are selling them.

It's the one given out at PBUC when MLB announced they would be the only ones with the right to publish the OBR.
