RightSports has contracted with me to produce a film aimed at helping beginning and intermediate umpires get started.

How to walk on the field, where to stand, how to study, what to study, getting along with coaches, players, fans, partners, association top dogs, etc.

Don't be asking when it's out: It's not been shot yet. I'm in the process of writing the script now.

But the title has been chosen to reflect the temper of the times.

We'll call it

Basic Training, and Childress is the DI.

BTW: I forgot to make it clear: The "film" will be released on a CD.
