It appears that Des Moines, Iowa is leading the pack in no-hitters, according to this article in the Des Moines Register:

Buehrle’s gem was Cooper’s second no-hitter — he umpired the plate when Hideo Nomo, then pitching for the Boston Red Sox, no-hit Baltimore on April 5, 2001.

“Count them up,” Cooper said. “The Des Moines-area guys have cornered the market on no-hitters.”

Tim McClelland, a major league umpire who lives in West Des Moines, has worked the plate for one no-hitter.

Mike Everitt, a major league umpire living in Des Moines, also has one as a plate umpire.

“That’s pretty neat, given the size of our city,” Cooper said. “It’s certainly something to brag about.”
