Eric Gregg had a stroke today

Anyone hear about this? I just noticed it on the ESPN.com section of Google news.

I had the pleasure of meeting, listening to his stories, and playing softball with Eric Gregg. I hope he does make a recovery. I am saddened by this news, as he is really a nice person.

It doesn't sound good for him. Reports this morning are that he's unconscious and has a lot of blood on the brain.

I met Eric at Citizens Bank Park when he was serving beer and crab fries at Chickie and Pete's 2 years ago. I knew who he was, but didn't feel comfortable striking up a conversation -- but looking back I wish I would've.

In the extremely unfortunate event that EG doesn't make it, do you think the current union will do anything to recognize his passing?

Just heard on the Cardinals/Reds broadcast that Eric Gregg has passed away.

My condolences to his family.
