West Vest or Davis

Right now I am debating on switching my chest protector to Davis, but it doesn't look like it's really save. Have you ever had any problems with Davis? My West Vest is getting pretty old.

Im assuming you mean its not safe anymore?

I wouldnt recommend the Davis for anything over freshman, and that might be a stretch. Its just not worth taking the risk. I do have a brand new original West Vest with tags I was looking to unload. I would recommend the Wilson Platinum or Wilson Gold, though, if you are looking for a solid, varsity level chest protector that will give you many many years of solid use.

West Vest all the way. Maybe on the expensive side, but your body is too important to be using sub-standard equipment.

It might just be me, but once you have had a hard shell, its darn hard to have that much confidence in anything less........
