(2) Considering the way the catcher is holding his glove Mr. Umpire looks a tad too intense for what is clearly a lower-level recreational game (3) I DO like the big bulky shin guard extensions covering the plate shoes (4) I wonder what Mr. Umpire was planning to do should a ball get past said catcher. Other than a Star Trek teleporter there's not really any place said umpire can disappear to. But other than that. Nah. He's fine. |

And Dan, in the kiddieball world, it is sometimes wise for the umpire to stand his ground so the catcher doesn't back up all the way to the fence.
