That thread was deleted by its creator, Mr. Garth.

I don't think he liked the direction in which the thread was heading. I have recently done the same with my own threads that get out of control.

It really had nothing to do with our mutual hatred of the New York Yankees.

11 straight playoff appearances (10 as division champs). 6 World Series appearances and 4 championships. An average of 95 wins per year to full houses. George expects to win every year, which is not realistic regardless of how much he spends on the roster.

If George turns Joe loose I hope Joe will have the good sense to take the $7M and sit on a beach somewhere for a year before he considers the many offers that will come his way. I would sit on a beach somewhere for a lot less.

And I am not a Yankees fan but it's just stupid to expect someone else could do better.
