He may only need one, but I'm pretty sure he has to buy them in pairs.

Perhaps he could find another umpire with a prosthesis,
and they could split the cost.

Isn't that against the law? Living off the avails of a prosthesis?

I buy cheap shin guards these days. I save my money for important pieces of equipment where price actually buys you something, like chest protectors and masks.

I tried the Davis ones, but missed the strap around the knee.

Guess its not too hard to entertain the teenagers on the 'net these days, making up stuff to post. Oh well, something to chuckle at during the typical dull fall-ball season....

Dan, that's as silly as saying that you've never seen an add saying shirts come with two sleeves or that shoes come in pairs. Of course you haven't because anyone with an ounce of common sense doesn't need to be told that.

Tim.

Be kind - he might not even know that he not only gets shin guards, but for no extra charge they'll throw in knee guards! And on many models ankle and metatarsal guards!

Wonder what's gonna happen to the poor kid if he ever goes to the store to buy his wife a PAIR of panties.

He'll see that they come in packs of three and freak out from the confusion over the price!

Tim.

Gosh Tim, now I'm all confused. How many leg openings are there in a three-pack of pairs of panties?
