From my limited knowledge of the sport, the women are not wearing any upper body protection either, as do the men.

Interesting comment NFump (as women read this forum also) but notice that in the picture the women are using bigger "sticks" than many of us own--------unless of course we play Lacrosse

girls used to not wear any eye/head protection at least at the college level. those eye things are only within the last two years i believe, as i know my first year or two of college the girls didnt have anything but the guys always had helmets.

that said, i hate lacrosse.

They also don't wear shoulder pads. Girl's lacrosse is supposedly a 'no contact' sport in Illinois.

Why do girls wear shorts when they play high school and NCAA softball? They still dive and slide and without the protection, look like hell after the season.
