amlu's "new" proposal

Am i really the one that is the first to post that AMLU sent a proposal to MiLB last week (vertually idenitcal to the one that was voted down)? MiLb accepted it (no surprise) and the unions members have to ratify by Tuesday. Maybe i missed the posting but for all the know it all's here, I can't believe the silence.

Your statements are not entirely accurate, but the bottom line is: a deal is likely done.

Maybe it's because nobody cares anymore!

Hopefully the proposal differs enough from the previously rejected proposal to provide MiLB umpires a true increase in salary and benefits. No doubt, it differs enough to allow those in charge of AMLU to declare a "victory" of sorts.

At any rate, it will be good to see the MiLB umpires back on the field. Hopefully, in the off season they will take the opportunity to evaluate the performance of their leadership and the results of the membership's sacrifice.
