Don't go barefoot
It's even more sensitive and smelly down there in them plate shoes!
1) Does an extra 1/4 inch shoe length diminish any COMFORT factor? 2) Why are the toes any different than any other part of the body? Conjecture: Is all this venom really about plate shoe length? Some of these guys must have never felt those SHOTS! NOT to be taken seriously. |

Pro-choice
this guy? It's one thing to post (this is) nonsense, and try to be funny (agree). It's quite another to misdirect (what) folks, especially (who) the new umpires, with (what) bogus information.
Do not, DO NOT buy plate shoes that don't fit properly. ------------------------------------------------------- Hey preacher, Your Lo-er shall not LIE awake over this. The store doesn't let her return worn shoes. She can come out from behind her shoe closet. She's not gonna swear her new shoes are comfy. Quit pretending her shoes are ALL the same length. She bets that a couple of old pair could be cast to hell. She knows that you look queer in her HIGH heels. Please forgive her, she loves her shOOOes. ------------------------------------------------------- It is nonsense. It is WOBW. But I can't wait untill you AIR your next VIBE {atmosphere or feeling}. |

He's happy with them. I, on the other foot, bought my normal size and I am happy with my shoes. No harm. No foul. mick |

I haven't bought any plate shoes yet for the season (this is my first year), I'm nervous about buying 150 dollar shoes from the web and not trying them on first, I do want to invest in them, any advice? I'm not interested in taking too many balls off my feet before I get some plate shoes...right now all I have is my base shoes.

The best advice I can give you is to go ahead and order a pair from Honigs. If they don't fit they will gladly take them back. Their customer service is second to none in the equipment supply business. If you're unsatisfied with an order for whatever reason, as long as the item is still unused they will take it back. They have the best turn around time on orders because they ship out of several regional warehouse locations. http://www.honigs.com/browse_depts.asp?Cat=1&Sub=1 Tim. |

I have a pair of New Balance Base shoes, I normally take either a 10.5 or an 11
Honig's has a pair of low cut plate shoes for 85 bucks, by sportbilt I think...would anyone advise putting the extra money towards either the PosPlus or the GD brand? Joe |

The GD ones have a removable Dryz insole that makes wearing them very comfortable; however, they take up a bit of space in the shoe. When I first purchased them, I asked Mary at GD to send me two pairs--my normal size and one size larger. She was more than willing to oblige. When I tried them on, I kept the next size up and returned the other pair and have never regretted that decision. BTW, one can always make this plate shoe even more snug by putting in your own insole, like a Dr. Scholl's one. I guarantee that would help in certain circumstances. |

I have the spot bilts too. I think they run just a bit big, but with a double sock they're just right.
Got mine from Lesters Upstate Sports. The metatarsal flap tore where it attached at the front after just a few wears and they replaced them amazingly fast without an issue. Great service from them. Is the LeatherLuster good? Where can I get it? |
