I've said it over the years - when it rains you'll get calls. They'll ask if you're available and if you're any good. If you answer "Yes" to the first question they won't care what you answer to the second.
An earlier post here said the same thing - make sure your assignor knows you want more games and are available. Also, when you DO go to work a game, tell the coach or AD to keep you in mind for future rainouts.
Getting your foot in the door is the easy part. Getting invited back is where it gets tough, so be prepared!
