Backwards Plate

It might be a backwards plate. The question is:
Is this a rear view of a left handed batter? - OR -
Is this a front view of a right handed batter?

LoL

Left handed batter
MORE importantly, this is proof the hands are not part of the bat!!! I see hands but there's no bat attached!!!

Ok,ok,ok . . .

So it is a left handed hitter and the illustration shows that this strike zone does not include a pitch that is "under the letters" -- it appears that your illustation is too soft on the top end. I thought we were supposed to call the "high strike."

Am I reading this correctly?

Regards,

Thumbs up Nice Effort

"...The Strike Zone shall be determined from the batter's stance as the batter is prepared to swing at a pitched ball."

Your picture would work better if the batter were preparing to hit the ball rather than standing erect.

Cool

Plus, I thought it says the bottom of the strike zone is "at the hollow beneath the kneecap - not above the kneecap. Maybe it's just a parallax thing. While it does not have the appealing "3D" look of your illustration, PFISTO, I kind of like THIS picture for the purpose of accuracy.

Also, the Strike Zone is NOT a 3D Trapezoid (square with a pointed side) as you show. It is a 3D Rectangle (fill in the ears around the point).

Keep the zone as big as you can !

"The strike zone is what I call it, when I call it, when I see it, if I see it and how I see it, and that's all you get!
Got it coach?"

The meds finally kicked in after 2 days!

WORK IN PROGRESS. Here is a better view. The purpose of all this is not to cause debate but to perhaps try and get a better visual of the strike zone.
